Information Now Ltd – a Norwich UK based strategic marketing consultancy

Information Now Ltd (INL) was formed by Terry Kendrick in 1989 and has undertaken various strategic marketing and information projects for over 50 organisations in 23 countries: UK, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt, Turkey, Ireland, USA, China, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Cyprus, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.

INL has three major client areas:

Strategic marketing planning and consultancy skills training for private and public sector organisations

Development of marketing strategies and plans together with implementation training and support. Since 1987 Terry has consulted to, and trained for, a wide range of organisations including BP, Oxford University Press, Pirelli, Shell, C&A, Aviva, DEFRA, British Council, and a range of other public and private sector organisations.  From 1987 -2001 Terry also acted as a Senior Consultant with the Cranfield Marketing Planning Centre at Cranfield University.

Library marketing.

Since leaving the profession of librarianship in 1987 Terry has kept a strong interest in marketing of libraries and library services including writing a book on the subject (see publications section of thsi website) and contributing a number of articles to the professional press.  INL supports the development of marketing strategies and plans in all types of libraries.

Advanced internet search skills.

INL has trained marketing staff, market research agency staff, groups of management consultants and library staff in information search skills both via the internet and via other less traditional sources. This can be anything from advanced searching in your favourite search engine to providing search strategies and training on the 90% of the free internet not cached by the traditional search engines.  INL’s training offer ranges from general upskilling to more focussed approaches such as the use of the internet for competitive intelligence.

From 1995 to 2011 INL provided an annual national series of marketing and information workshops for the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals(CILIP).   This included internal marketing, marketing planning and strategy for public and academic libraries, segmentation for academic libraries, internet search skills and customer relationship management. Over this period INL trained, both in open courses and on site courses, over 2,000 library and information staff from public, academic and industrial libraries.
